The California Association of Realtors is sponsoring a new rebate program for home energy audits. The California Realtors Energy Audit Program includes a free HERS rating. An Energy Audit and HERS Rating measures the energy efficiency of your home. This process identifies the ways to improve your home's comfort and energy efficieny while your reducing utility bills.

Have you just purcahsed a new home in the last 30 days? How to Qualify for the New Homeowner Rebate

To claim the rebate, your realtor must be a member of the California Association of Realtors.

You will need to send the following to your realtor:

HERS report
Audit receipt
Signed rebate application form
Property Purchase Contract
HUD-1 final closing statement from escrow indicating that the transaction closed escrow
