During almost seven years in business, Advanced Home Energy has completed energy efficiency upgrades on over 1,000 buildings. This includes buildings as diverse as City of Berkeley office buildings, UC Berkeley Sudent Co-op housing buildings, and a US Coast Guard training facility. These buildings are spread across Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, San Francisco and San Mateo counties. This gives AHE’s field crews experience with a variety of building types across all 3 climate zones in the SF Bay Area which can be applied to all future jobs.

Commercial Energy Efficiency

Advanced Home Energy has experience providing energy assessments and energy efficiency upgrades for a wide of commercial, government and other unique buildings. AHE was selectively chosen from an RFP by Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL) to provide best-practice expertise and energy upgrade construction for two multi-unit apartments buildings, located in Richmond and Fresno, CA.  In conjunction with LBNL staff who did technical tests and analysis, AHE made recommendations for cost-effective energy upgrades and then implemented the upgrades on twelve apartments.  Upgrades included: air draft sealing, duct repair and replacement, furnace change-out, window replacement, appliance replacement, HEPA filter installation, spot HRV, and bathroom fans.

Commercial Energy Management

Advanced Home Energy is fully qualified to design complete energy upgrades for commercial buildings. Our full time employees include Building Performance Institute(BPI). Certified energy auditors, a BPI certified construction manager, professional insulation installers, HVAC professionals with over ten years experience, and a Green Point Existing Building and New Building Rater. We also have experience installing windows, french drains, radiant floor heating, smart or learning thermostats and other building performance related measures improve the power efficiency of your building.
