Stop Waste And Energy  Upgrade Ca Announces Donation to BAHIA 

BAHIA Inc., a bilingual child development program in Berkeley has just been awarded a $5000 donation from the program Energize for the Prize. Energize for the Prize was a pilot program which ran only in Alameda County. It was associated with Energy Upgrade California and StopWaste.org.

Solar panels have been garnering a lot of publicity in recent months (and not always for positive reasons). Yet the solar panel as we know it may already be an obsolete technology.

This is a call to support S. 1914 the Cut Energy Bills at Home Act sponsored by Olympia Snowe of Maine. S. 1914 provides up to $5,000 in tax credit for homeowners who go forwarded with energy efficiency upgrades on their home. The Cut Energy Bills at Home Act provides incentives for communities to reduce their long term energy use by upgrading individual residences.

Advanced Home Energy founder Ori Skloot recently shared his expertise on energy efficiency in the home with a crowd of over 100 home owners in El Cerrito. Ori has studied and work in the building performance industry for over 12 years.

The workshop, sponsored by Energy Upgrade California, informed homeowners about PG&E and local rebates. In Contra Costa County the combined rebates can total up to $9,500.
